Nivea Express Hydration Primer

One of the latest products on the skincare market is this hybrid primer/moisturiser by Nivea. I saw this advertised on the television when it was first launched, and loved the idea straight away; I didn’t like using both a moisturiser and a primer everyday as I don’t like to spend too long getting ready just for work. So, this was pretty much a perfect idea for me, and for other people who need to save time in the mornings!

This is an instantly absorbing moisturising primer which you apply before your makeup. You don’t have to wait long before it sinks into your skin and you can start applying your makeup!

It has a gel like texture, and a little goes a long way. I have the dry/sensitive version (there is also a normal/combination version) and it feels lovely and moisturising, more so than I expected. It also makes my skin feel smooth and soft. Makeup blends over it easily and looks fresher for longer – it stays put much more so than it would with a normal moisturiser.

The only thing that disappoints me about this is that it has no SPF :( I like to have an SPF in my daily facial moisturiser so I feel a little bit naked with this! Luckily my foundations all have an SPF in them but I really do wish that this did too. For now, I am really enjoying this to use everyday. However, I may have to swap again when the sun starts to come back out – which is actually when I would probably need it most to keep my makeup in place!

Overall, I am very pleased with this product, it has a nice texture, is hydrating and keeps my makeup in place; the only thing letting it down is the lack of SPF!

You can get this for £4.99 from Superdrug.

If you have any ideas which I can use as well as this for SPF, please let me know!
Have you tried this new primer/moisturiser?

  1. This was my product of the year last year, I absolutely love it. I use the combination one though, and I search for it for about a month before I found it, but sooooo worth the wait!
